About this deal
The effects of PROGRAM Flavor Tabs, which control flea populations, and CAPSTAR Tablets, which treat flea infestations, are combined to provide a FLEA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. Capstar for Dogs and Cats are safe to be used every day until you get rid of all the fleas, as nitenpyram doesn’t stay in your pet’s body for too long.
No specific monitoring is required for this medication, but your veterinarian may recommend routine testing depending on your pets' individual needs, other medications they may be on and/or the issue that initially caused your pet to be placed on this medication. However, they are very expensive for the number of tablets you get, especially as they aren't a long term treatment. Used with an approved household flea spray to kill all flea eggs and larvae in your home, Capstar can provide up to 12 months continuous flea control when used regularly. Adult female fleas feed by ingesting blood from your pet and subsequently lay eggs, which drop off your pet’s coat.
In the case of a severe flea infestation, it may be necessary to treat the animals every day or every other day, until the flea infestation is controlled. CAPSTAR ® (nitenpyram) tablets should be administered according to the dosing schedule on the label. Within six hours, up to 90 percent of adult fleas will be dead, with the remaining ones usually killed within 24 hours. it's mainly for if they have an outbreak of them, but only down fall is its not a long lasting protection against them, you have to use other forms of protection against them too at the same time, I use it on my dogs and cats.My dog hates the taste and smell of them and is very skilled at spitting tablets out no matter what you wrap them with, so I have to completely crush them down and mix with wet food.
