Having grown up in a time when travel was restricted to local holidays, she has spent her adult life fulfilling a desire to see the world. I could have eaten about ten more - they’re a good size and we paired them with some salad and flatbread.Now, Persiana Everyday (Aster) has been published and I can safely say that I will spend the next few months cooking from it, cover to cover.

Ghayour has even had Michelin-starred chefs try to make her recipes and they panic - just because "it's a different discipline". remove from the oven and spoon the harissa mixture evenly over the aubergine halves to coat generously then roast for another 10 minutes. The recipe says to cook with lid on for 20 then off for 15 - after the initial 20 minutes mine was cooked! I am not much of a cook, but I love to look at recipes, and too often I feel discouraged by my lack of skill and what ingredients are readily available where I live. I really wanted to like this cookbook- simple, family friendly recipes that use lots of ingredients I have in my cupboard.She now not only leads a very busy life writing, teaching and making many appearances on TV, but she also cooks for a family.
