Please stop promoting that book. It has to be the worst and most useless book out there and ive read several dozen on NPD. I actually returned this to bc it wasnt even worth passing onto someone else. Narcissists are always bad news. You already know a few. Unfortunately, narcissism is on the rise, so, that number may increase.If they are just friends, they cannot be relied upon and will give you no emotional support. If they are your superior , they will abuseyou by tearing down your self-esteem and ignoring your contributions to the detriment of the group, so you will perform poorly and be a drag on them as well as yourself. Leslie Jamison (born 1983)[1] is an American novelist and essayist. She is the author of the 2010 novel The Gin Closet and the 2014 essay collection The Empathy Exams. Jamison also directs the non-fiction concentration in writing at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. They have no credentials, they are not an expert on the topic, and the tone of the ‘work’ is very much in the way of something a person should discuss with a therapist, not a book. DO NOT PREPARE TO BE TORTURED. BE PREPARED TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Both narcissists and this book. AB Jamieson should see a psychiatrist and discuss these issues with them, as the pamphlet published does not offer any value past the title.

It is not about assigning what the author purports are traits (they are just her point of view of what she didn’t like in her experience in her relationship) – it is about protecting yourself.
