About this deal

BHPian Aditya recently shared this with other enthusiasts. Michelin Programmable Fast Flow Digital Tyre Inflator Review While the Michelin tyre inflator is one of the best available in the market, it has some negatives as well. For a start, Michelin says that this inflator should not be used to inflate space saver tyres.

Larger inflators include rechargeable batteries, which make them completely portable. These are a better option if you want to pump up, say, bicycle tyres, without having to wheel the bike next to your car. You may also need a larger inflator for tyres that need higher-than-average pressures, such as a larger van or campervan. What about extras? Like all portable tyre inflators, the Michelin inflator makes an irritating noise while operating. This is particularly disturbing if your surroundings are quiet. That said, it is not as loud as some of the cheaper inflators. Again, while it does vibrate, it does not dance around as much as the cheaper inflators. Even after inflating all four tyres of the car on a hot November afternoon, the inflator did not heat up. In the box, you’ll get the tyre inflator itself, plus a couple of adaptors for balls and inflatables (like air-beds and paddling pools). There’s a bag with this unit rather than the soft case some other manufacturers opt to supply, which may make it slightly easier to store away in the boot of your car if space is at a premium. So far so normal! The Michelin tyre inflator can be used to inflate tyres of cars, motorcycles, trailers, caravans and bicycles. You can also use it to inflate footballs, toys and other inflatable items. The maximum tyre inflation pressure for cars is 50 PSI and bicycle tyres can be inflated up to 100 PSI. Note that higher pressures can be achieved in cycle tyres due to their smaller air volumes compared to car tyres. PriceI have been using this product for the last 6 to 7 years (at least) and every time it works like a charm. Very user-friendly and compact to store. Inflates 10 psi to 36 psi in a couple of mins (just used it yesterday on my Alto). The tyre inflator is quite a compact item and light to carry around. It measures 21.3 cm x 19 cm x 9 cm and occupies very little space in a car boot. Answer: That is based on your choice as the efficiency of both digital tyre inflators and analog tyre inflators are the same. The only advantage that is there in the digital inflator is that reading the tyre pressure is easier in a digital inflator. The pressure is usually shown in two formats: bar and psi. There are typically two sets of these. The lowest is for normal use, but you may well see another set of higher pressures for when the car is heavily loaded, increasing the weight that’s pushing down on the tyres. Tyre pressures are typically between 30psi and 40psi (or 2 bar and 2.8 bar). How to test your tyre pressure
