Ces is just what Jer needs. It's not that he's cold and heartless, it's that his particular lifestyle demands him to be, he can't let his guard down, but boy does cecily make his walls come tumbling down. This is my best part, when I smile more my god it's so good to see the old characters and hear stories about the new ones I feel like with each story it just goes deeper and deeper on the heaviness of the plot and the things they each battle with.These are the upcoming books that Rina is working on in different stages of completion. Not all have complete titles or confirmed release dates. The beginning of the book already took my breath away, I love books that start very well, that's a very positive point.

It's such a rewarding experience for me as a reader to love a universe so much and get to know the characters being in their heads. I'm in love with Cecily, I already loved her mother but now I love her too she's a character just the way I like her, her heart is beautiful the way she takes care of her friends it was so beautiful to see how Jeremy was realizing all her qualitiesGo in with an open mind, there are complications and unusual situations and complete and utter insanity. But these characters are magic together. Soul mates. The chemistry is mesmerizing- physically, emotionally, psychologically. HOly moly. Because in the deepest parts of them, their broken pieces match in a really unexpected way. More than any couple yet, it feels like two missing links. And Rina has so brilliantly connected the first and second generations in terms of who these characters are and the weight they carry. Weight they can’t truly unburden until they find the right person to help them carry it. These two liberate each other, steady each other. On their surface, their relationship is as toxic as they come- but underneath it their connection is really intimate and tender and sincere- edgy and dark, but sweet. Because they can be themselves with each other- their FULL selves. And the steamy times! YOWZERS.

I'll confess that I didn't like seeing her in the beginning in love with Landon, because I knew it wasn't her, and at the end of the book I understood that she is a mechanism for her to forget something. Despite the TW, this was an incredible book! Both Jeremy and Cecily have such major mental challenges that became emotionally screwed, they over come everything in their way thanks to each other. The crazy sex is linked AF and their relationship was just as hot. I should have known, though, because Adrian is my all time favorite Rina Kent anti-hero, and Jeremy is cut from the same twistedly dreamy, manipulative, and controlling cloth that his father is. OF COURSE his son would come along and say "your favorite huh? here, hold my weapons, I'll prove you wrong." He's perfect, PERFECT. He's the dream psycho possessive caveman antihero. Like PSYCHO. Because Rina paired all his intensity with so much genuine care- he’s got a bit of a bleeding heart. Oh, he's gonna take all the power and control, but he's also gonna woo you through it. The way he expresses his devotion- small acts of kindness, physical worship, gifts and meaningful moments- he’s literally, the swooniest pyscho ever. He's jealous of freaking AVA! Of manga characters! haha, I love him. Jeremy in a sense sees his mom in her but not in a weird creepy way. She is guarded too due to past traum@ and he sees right thru her walls and helps her overcome the traum@ she's dealt with and gives her the safe space she's always needed and wanted. What can I say about Jeremy, my god so hot, I feel a connection with him as I saw him born and also his journey in his parenting book so watching him grow up is amazing. I loved his dirty mouth and seeing how much he is his father's clone.
