I found our main character, Riko, to be an interesting character and loved seeing her gaming habits right from the beginning because it really helps show how different things are once she takes in this stray.Comic Natalie (in Japanese). The Japanese title is something like 'Gamer who lives with a cat,' which doesn't exactly leap off the shelves," the writer explains. "I brainstormed a bunch of ideas, including Nine Lives and Ready Player Cat. But none of them really sparked. Then I thought of keeping it simple, and just Cat + Gamer with the plus sign being a controller dpad. That was the clear winner." Riko, a twenty-nine-year-old office worker with an obsession for video games, finds her quiet life upended when she takes in a stray cat! Her coworkers can't quite figure her out--she never talks about her personal life, she never works overtime, and she never joins them for happy hour. Is she antisocial? Nope, she's rushing home to play video games! One day, a stray cat is found in the office parking lot, and before Riko knows it, the cat has moved in with her! Having no experience with pets, Riko uses lessons drawn from video games to guide her in cat care, while her cute companion tries to understand her behavior through a cat's worldview. The initial release date is February 2016. The game is updated with various major improvements in May 2018 and published here on CrazyGames. Developer

Success!

I'm screaming, crying, dying from the cuteness and how relatable this manga is! This is a wholesome manga about a twenty-nine year old, who's secretly a gamer, and one day when an stray tuxedo kitten shows up in her office, she decides to take him home. I have two tuxedo cats of my own and both of them have acted like Musubi does in the manga. It touched the most softest parts of my heart and the bonus panels we get from Musubi's perspective is so precious. The main character, Riko Kozakura, is one of the most relatable characters for me. As a long-time gamer and having cats who like to be all up in my gaming business, it was so nice to read about a main character who hits close to home. Plus, if any readers are new pet parents, I think this manga is going to hit all those first times for you especially if you've taken in a stray animal or recently rescued a pet. This was just a really sweet, wholesome, slice of life manga and I can't wait to continue on with the series. I highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a light-hearted read, with humor and cuteness sprinkled throughout. Comic Natalie (in Japanese). Natasha, Inc. November 24, 2018. Archived from the original on January 15, 2021 . Retrieved July 29, 2021. The comic is what the title says. It's about a gamer living with a cat. A real gamer. A real cat. Just… living together," says Davisson. "It's not a magic cat. It’s not secretly running its own Twitch stream. It’s just a cat. And the cat does all those things cats do. Which is absolutely delightful." Joker 2 is going to surprise a lot of people, says its cinematographer: "It's a pretty risky movie" Her coworkers can’t quite figure her out—she never talks about her personal life, she never works overtime, and she never joins them for happy hour. Is she antisocial? Nope, she’s rushing home to play video games! One day, a stray cat is found in the office parking lot, and before Riko knows it, the cat has moved in with her! Not all manga is created equal; some are created because the mangaka wants to tell a grand story with heavy themes and plot twists. Some are created as tie-ins to other series and help sell merchandise. Some are thin disguises to draw porn, and some are there just to have a good time. Cat + Gamer falls into this category. The premise is as simple as the paragraph above, there are no strange twists or hidden depths or scenarios created to get Riko in sexy poses; it’s just a series about a gamer girl, learning to take a care of a cat. So, if anything from the synopsis above grabs your attention and you just want a fluffy, fun read, then look no further than Cat + Gamer. The first volume of the series covers the first eight chapters of the series; each chapter is told from Riko’s perspective with each scenario being something like Riko trying to eat dinner or enjoy her gaming but then being distracted by the cat in her home. Cats need attention, food and sleep, so it’s all about how Riko’s lifestyle must change to accommodate it. At the end of each chapter, we also get a few panels from the cat’s perspective; it’s not necessary to understand the story, but they’re cute, nevertheless. The events in the story are very slice-of-life: what do cats play with, when should I feed him, how do I get the cat to stop trying to scratch me whilst I’m playing my game, and so on. Each chapter is self-contained, so the volume as a whole is an easy breezy read.Cat + Gamer Volume 3 TPB". Dark Horse Comics. Archived from the original on May 31, 2023 . Retrieved October 4, 2023. So now you get all kinds of variations on gaming terms but applied to cats, and that does sound a bit naff, but it isn't! It's quite charming. (And the book does explain those gaming terms, btw.)
