Another tasty way to cool down and beat the heat is with this indulgent mango sorbet. It’s incredibly refreshing and deliciously fruity. Heavy cream, milk, and cream cheese create the perfect texture. As for flavoring, all you need is some cocoa powder and vanilla extract. The Ninja Creami is an automatic ice cream maker but perhaps not as you know it. While traditional models freeze cold or room temperature ingredients as they churn, with the bowl having to be frozen beforehand, the Creami flips this process on its head. Instead, it requires you to freeze your mixture solid, before churning it into your frozen treat of choice. This speeds up the ice cream making process considerably, taking two to three minutes versus 30 minutes on average for traditional ice cream makers. CAPACITY: Make more treats for the whole family to enjoy. The larger CREAMi Deluxe Pints hold 50% more ice cream than the original Ninja CREAMi. So, the bottom line is if you don't already own a Ninja CREAMi then it's definitely worth spending a little more to get the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe.

Once you start the CREAMi Deluxe it now asks you to select whether you’re processing the top half, bottom half, or full pint. From there you rotate the dial to select which program you want and press the dial to start the machine. One helpful convenience is that the Deluxe will tell you how many minutes a program will take before you run it and then count down the number of minutes left as it runs. By contrast, the original CREAMi had a simple four step progress indicator that let you know approximately how close the CREAMi was to being done but not how much actual time was left. You can’t go wrong with this simple and delicious smoothie! As you can tell from the image above, one consequence of the larger capacity is that pints, blades, lids, and bowls are larger and, unfortunately, not interchangeable between the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe and those of older models. This is important if you’ve already invested in purchasing extra Ninja CREAMi pint containers. Ice cream and sorbet isn’t the only thing you can make with a Ninja Creami. You can make smoothie bowls too! Raspberries and white chocolate go really well together since the raspberries are a little tart and the white chocolate has a mild flavor and a super smooth texture.

The Ninja Creami is expensive and noisy. Moreover there’s a fair bit of trial and error involved in getting the perfect scoop. That said, if you’re serious about making homemade frozen desserts or milkshakes and want something that makes the process fast and simple, this product is going to get a lot of use. Cost aside, there are a few smaller niggles. The first is that the Creami is very noisy. During the ice cream cycle, I measured it at an average of 86dB when measured from 1m away. To put that into perspective, the high-power Ninja 3-in-1 food processor and blender measured up to 88db in testing. The cycles last, at most, 2mins 30 seconds but it’s something to bear in mind if you’re sensitive to noise. What I love about this easy and clean recipe is that you can add all kinds of yummy extras, from cookie dough and pretzels to nuts and caramel.

Both the original Ninja CREAMi 7-in-1 and Ninja CREAMi Breeze 7-in-1 comes with additional functions compared to their 5-in-1 counterparts. These additional functions are the smoothie bowl and gelato.
