When using a glass bed surface, the glass remains exactly flat (minus scratches and such) over time. However, with some low cost printers, such as mine (CR10 v1, which has the exact same dimensions as the v2, so this product fits it), the metal bed, being regularly heated, collapses slightly over time. Not by much, but with fine engineering such as 3D printing, a few fractions of a millimeter are enough for the nozzle to be too high, relatively to the bed, and this can in turn cause problems.

I would also recommend going on thingiverse and printing all the "Strain Relief" models for the printer wire loom and hotbed. This is the only reason I did not give this printer 5 stars. You really have to do quite a bit to reduce the strain at the connectors. The glass plate from creality has never been flat and it’s hounded me since day one. My challenge has been to find the right size replacement and in what material. I was thinking of getting one and just adding a magnet too the bottom of the bed too attach and then re calibrating When put together, these parts result in a robust, magnetic and heat-resistant flexible plate with very good adhesion. I measured my buildplate and if I did my math right it is in fact a 250 x 250 build plate. if I leave the print head offsets in cura the same and increase my build plate size, this larger print fits correctly now. I really love this machine. It has a large build volume, it is upgradable, easy to set up and has quality prints.
