You have a point about soft ground, especially soft wet ground (sand, mud etc) could be an issue. Tarp on the ground or plastic bag should solve it or even splash out (excuse the pun) for their waterproof cover. For Adults, the Bog in a Bag seems like the sturdiest, most comprehensive offer on the market but here’s some others to consider: The S***Box bags provided with it are biodegradable. I place these in a dedicated Ortlieb dry bag for disposal on return home. So same result different approach.
