Extras will include a new introduction by the director and over four hours of legacy features, among them a documentary, deleted and extended scenes, trailers, and audio commentary by Lee. This will be a BD100 disc, with audio will be DTS:X. There’s no mention of Dolby Vision, so expect HDR10 only. Cast: Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian, Tracy Scoggins, Patricia Tallman, Bill Mumy, Peter Jurasik, Rebecca Riedy, Andrew Morgado. All five seasons of Babylon 5 were scanned and remastered from the original camera negative in 4K, with a colour correction and the cleaning of dirt and scratches as well. The many CGI shots of the series have been digitally upscaled to HD, and short of a complete remaster, that’s probably the best we can hope for. After years of cropped, blurry episodes, it will be a thrill to bring this series home in HD.

The company also has the 2020 Sundance Film Festival official selection Wander Darkly coming to Blu-ray and DVD on 2/9. The critically acclaimed franchise debuted in 1993 with the pilot film, The Gathering. The series then launched a year later and ran for five seasons and 110 additional episodes. A future-history story covering the years 2257 – 2262, with each year corresponding to one season, Babylon 5 was the first series to introduce viewers to the concept of a five-year arc, with a defined beginning, middle, and end, paving the way for a number of such later series.There’s no word yet as to whether the series will be released on Blu-ray at long last, but this would certainly make sense, as it’s long been requested by fans.
