About this deal

Saalt Wear is available in three absorbency levels. Remember that knowing your flow will help determine how long you can wear your leakproof underwear before changing. *A light tampon typically holds 2-3 mL and a regular tampon holds 5mL on average for reference. NO. The cup will seal your vaginal canal. I have read cases of people who supposedly did leave it in and he slipped by the side but seriously I can't even begin to imagine how this worked out with a standard regular cup. See our Separate article on "Sex and Menstrual Cups." However menstrual discs are designed for mess free penetrative sex in mind so there are options for you. I have an IUD can I still use a menstrual cup? Pinch the base of the cup and rotate it to get it to fully open. This may be a few short twists or a full 360 degree rotation.

Long live the sheets! Our sheet-saving, tight-pants-braving absorbency tech and leakproof barrier gives you no pad, no problem confidence for any day of your flow. Our Leakproof Seamless Collection has sleek, super-stretchy body fabric gives you all the freedom with none of the panty lines. Made with ultra-durable LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fiber, which ensures it will maintain excellent fit and shape retention wash after wash and wear after wear. Designed to flex with you through yoga class or a night out and stay invisible under your tailored workwear. Our Leakproof Comfort Collection is made from soft and stretchy TENCEL™ Modal fabric. To understand how long your Saalt Wear will perform for you, we recommend trying them at home first. Having a good understanding of how much your current liners or tampons hold will help you know how long your Saalt Wear will perform for you. Example: one regular tampon holds 5 mL (1 tsp) fluid. If you go through 4 regular tampons in one day, one heavy absorbency Saalt Wear, or two regular absorbency pairs of Saalt Wear should support you. Personally most months I can put the cup in after a morning shower and I don't need to change it until the evening. On day 1 sometimes it feels "heavy" there so I'll change it after about 8 hours. A colleague has exceptionally heavy periods and day 1 and 2 they'll be changing every couple of hours on day 1 but this is far less than they had before they used a cup. First, the Saalt Cup + Saalt Wear dynamic duo is our favorite way to period. Why? Because it provides a fully reusable solution to replace both tampons and pads that is better for our bodies and the planet.

The Leakproof Seamless Collection includes light, regular, and heavy absorbency styles. The Seamless Thong is made for your light flow days and holds 1–2 light tampons (~ 1 tsp or 3–6 ml) worth of flow. The Seamless Bikini and High Waist are both made for your regular flow days and hold 2–3 regular tampons (2–3 tsp or 10–15 ml) worth of flow. Finally, the Seamless Brief comes in both regular absorbency and heavy absorbency which holds 3-4 regular tampons (3–4 tsp or 15–20 ml) worth of flow. If the Saalt Menstrual Cup is positioned incorrectly, it can put pressure on your urethra or bladder. It may feel like you have to urinate often or can feel like a weak urine stream, where it can take a long time to empty your bladder. Either way, changing the position of the cup should help relieve this pressure. You’ll want to be sure that you are positioning your cup to match the natural slant of your vaginal canal. To do this, try inserting your cup more horizontally toward your tailbone. As a B Corp, we select supply chain partners whose values align with the commitment we’ve made to be a force for good in the world. Yes you can but you have to be really careful with the strings. You must make sure you break the seal before you take it out so there is no pressure put on the strings. Full Details In Our Article "Menstrual Cup and IUD." Can I swim with my menstrual cup in?Absolutely NOT. I have never been able to use tampons I just can't get them in right, too drying and irritating on putting in and removing, I can always feel them. However with a cup from the very first time it was perfect. Easy to get in and doesn't need to be positioned high as tampons. Yes you can. You will find a softer cup such as the Saalt soft cup will be a better choice for you. How much money will my menstrual cup save me? Comfortable - Soft and flexible, it molds to your shape. Saalt creates premium menstrual cups that are modern and innovative, with multiple sealing points to prevent leaks, and a soft flex stem for comfort. As someone who’s used tampons or pads my entire life, my first impression was honestly an uncontrolled mix of fear and anxiety, but also excitement. Instantly, I noticed the menstrual cup itself is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I immediately questioned how it was going to fit. However, once I read the instructions, and realized the length of the entire cup was almost the same length as my tampon, it made the whole process seem a lot more doable.

After your period, rinse your menstrual disc in cold water first to help avoid discoloration and odor. Then wash thoroughly using our all-natural Saalt Wash or hot water and mild soap. Avoid strong cleaners or anything that may irritate your skin if not completely washed off. Use a soft rag to wipe away any buildup. Then sanitize your disc by placing it in a pot of boiling water for 4–5 minutes (but not more than 7 min). Use tongs or a whisk to make sure the disc doesn’t rest on the bottom of the pot. When boiling your disc is not an option, you may sanitize it by rinsing it with water and then thoroughly wiping your disc (and all its nooks and crannies) with a soft rag and 70% isopropyl alcohol. Allow the alcohol to evaporate and you’re good to go! You shouldn't be able to feel the cup at all once it's in place. If you can feel it, it's not inserted properly or you need to trim/cut off the stem. If it's definitely in place and the stem has been trimmed then it's possible that it's not quite the right cup for you. It will still work but isn't the optimum cup for you. Read our article on "choosing a menstrual cup."We also have a "menstrual cup comparison chart" to help you find the perfect one for you. Do I have to remove the menstrual cup when I go to the toilet? Some of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX®️ and bluesign®️ approved, which are internationally recognized standards for making textiles cleaner and more environmentally friendly. Drying your Saalt Wear in the dryer will break down the elastane in your underwear faster contributing to side leaking. The leg holes of your underwear must fit snugly around your legs.
