About this deal

For most EE customers, inclusive roaming is available in 48 European destinations. However, customers choosing the Roam Further Pass as their Smart Benefit will get another 5 destinations added to this list (the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand). We will consider usage above 600GB/month to be non-personal use and have the right to apply traffic management controls to deprioritise your mobile traffic during busy periods or to move you to a business plan. Apple Arcade: Data used will be deducted from your plan allowance. Only available to iOS users. Apple Arcade is for your personal, non-commercial use only. To redeem requires an iPhone using the latest iOS. To access content requires a device using the latest OS version or another compatible device. Apple ID required. You must not attempt to share, edit or adapt the content made available to you. Content is variable and may be withdrawn at any time. UK use only. Apple Arcade terms apply. For more details go to ee.co.uk/apple-arcade. According to EE, all of their unlimited data plans are “un-throttled so you can access the fastest speeds that are available in the area”. Not everyone needs unlimited data, so figuring out whether you do or not is a good idea before committing to a contract.

Virgin mobile– exclusive to existing customers only, Virgin mobile offers 12-month unlimited data plans. Since the 2nd September 2020, EE has had a 600GB per month fair usage limit. This applies on all unlimited data plans for consumers. Customers using more than 600GB of data in one month may have their speeds reduced, or may be moved onto a business plan: However, O2, Giffgaff, and Lyca Mobile ask you to keep your usage under 650GB per month, while EE wants you to keep it under 600GB. Those limits are high enough that they should hardly affect anyone though. Tethering restrictions SIM offers: Discount applied to monthly price for first 24 months. After 24 months discount is removed. Further terms apply, see ee.co.uk/terms. Full Works iPhone SIM: Only available to iOS customers. Includes access to uncapped speeds, Apple One, Roam Abroad Pass Data Gifting and upgrade anytime.

EE has a fair usage limit of 50GB when roaming abroad, which is notably more than a lot of networks allow but not unlimited. There are also plans that come with Apple One, which bundles subscriptions to Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, and includes 50GB of iCloud+ storage.

EE is a great choice for unlimited data because it offers such a wide selection of unlimited data SIM Only plans. These include various different contract lengths, maximum speeds, and bundled extras, so it’s easy to find an option that’s the perfect fit. All Rounder SIM: Includes uncapped speeds, 1 Inclusive Extra, Data Gifting, Stay Connected Data, and upgrade anytime.

Three– Three specialise in unlimited data plans, with rolling monthly and 12-month contracts available. The monthly price shown, add-ons and all out of bundle charges will increase on or after 31st March every year by the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published in January that year, plus 3.9%. See ee.co.uk/increase for details. Please note the cost of other services you take from us may increase or decrease while you're an EE customer. At the time of writing, all networks with unlimited data plans offer 5G, so you can potentially get the maximum available speeds in the UK. Stay Connected Data: If you have a capped data allowance (i.e. not an unlimited data plan) once you have used up your monthly data allowance your speed will be capped at 0.5Mbps. You will regain access to our fastest speeds upon (1) renewal of your monthly plan allowance, (2) by buying one of our data add-ons, or (3) If you are gifted data by someone else in your family account. Once the data add-on or gifted data runs out, you will return to the capped speed until your monthly plan allowance has renewed. Not available with No Frills plans. Unlimited Data Plans : 50GB fair use policy applies outside UK. Personal, non-commercial use only. If you regularly tether 12 or more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. We will consider usage above 600GB/month to be non-personal use and have the right to apply traffic management controls to deprioritise your mobile traffic during busy periods or to move you to a business plan. You can gift up to 100GB. Data usage on an unlimited data plan will be deducted from giftable allowance. Any data boost allowance will be added to the giftable allowance.

Lots of other networks offers unlimited data plans, including Three, O2, Vodafone, Asda Mobile, Giffgaff, iD Mobile, Lebara, Lyca Mobile, Smarty, Tesco Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and VOXI. If you’re buying an iPhone on a Pay Monthly contract from EE, you’ll be offered the Smart Benefit options for an iPhone regardless of whether you choose an EE Smart or EE Full Works plan.Unlimited data SIMs are available as SIM-only plans, which just include your SIM card and allowances, usually on a 30-day or 12-month plan, or you can get a Pay Monthly plan with a phone included as well, and these usually tie you in for 24 months. Apple Music: Data used will be deducted from your plan allowance. Apple Music is for your personal, non-commercial use only. Requires a handset using either the latest iOS version or Android 5 or later. Apple ID required. You must not attempt to share, edit or adapt the content made available to you. Content is variable and may be withdrawn at any time. UK use only. Apple Music terms apply. For more details go to ee.co.uk/apple-music. If you regularly tether 12 or more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. Beyond durations, there are a number of other variations in EE’s unlimited data SIM Only plans. The most basic and affordable are dubbed ‘No Frills Unlimited plans’. These limit you to 25Mbps speeds, which means you can’t really take advantage of 5G speeds here, as those are the sorts of speeds you’d typically get with 4G. If you have multiple lines on your EE account, you can share up to 120GB of data with them every month. You’ll get a 100GB shareable data allowance on most EE unlimited data plans, or a 120GB shareable data allowance if you buy a 5G phone on an EE Smart plan. You’ll also get a 10% discount on additional lines that you add to your EE account.

iD Mobile, which uses the Three network and is owned by Currys plc, offers an unlimited data plan on a 1or 12-month SIM Only contract, or as part of a 24-month handset plan. There are also 24-month SIM Only plans, but at the time of writing these don’t offer unlimited data. When tethering, few networks mention any limits, but O2, EE, and Giffgaff say you shouldn’t tether your phone to more than 11 other devices at a time. And of course where networks have fair usage data limits (detailed above) they will apply to tethering too. Roaming abroad
