Motobatt batteries are high torque upgrade, offering higher cold cranking amps and better starting than the original motorcycle battery. All Motobatts are sealed AGM batteries. In AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries, the electrolyte hold within a glass fibre mat, which makes them more resistant to damage from vibration. The SHIDO LTX9-BS battery replaces conventional YTX9-BS motorcycle batteries. Ready-to-use and maintenance-free, the ultra-light SHIDO LTX9-BS battery is 3 times lighter and lasts up to 6 times longer than lead acid alternatives! Shido lithium motorcycle batteries deliver a higher starting current than lead acid batteries at a lower capacity thanks to their high energy density and low internal resistance. Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) motorcycle batteries are safer, cleaner, more reliable and more powerful than lead acid motorcycle batteries.

Before using your SHIDO lithium motorcycle battery for the first time, you should charge it for at least one hour with an independent charger or drive at least 20 miles once installed. Yuasa batteries are fitted as original equipment for many motorcycle models, including many Honda and Kawasaki models. They are also structurally stronger and offer a greater resistance to vibration. They have a lower discharge rate and can cope better with a deep discharge, making the Atom Gel battery great for seasonal use and longer periods of storage. Lithium motorbike batteries can be mounted in a wide range of positions, however it is not recommended to install them in an inverted position.

You don't have to add acid, however due to storage variations in the supply chain you should always put the battery on an AGM type charger prior to fitting. JMT lithium-ion motorbike batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium-polymer process in their manufacture. This means that they will not catch fire or explode in normal operation, which can happen with the cheap, low-quality lithium batteries which are less stable. Skyrich Lithium Ion batteries are light-weight (1/3 of a normal lead-acid battery) and more compact. They also benefit from having a higher torque for improved starting power. Please Note: Gel batteries are not suitable for high current draw applications such as cold-starting large or high compression engines.Draining a battery from parasitic loads is the number one cause of battery failure and once taken under 8V it’s very difficult for the battery to recover.
