About this deal

There are various types of concealers available in the market, each serving a different purpose. The most common types include color-correcting concealers, under-eye concealers, hydrating concealers, brightening concealers, and more. I find that it blends in beautifully and doesn't feel cakey at all - I'm normally a huge fan of Nars Creamy Concealer but this one is absolutely my new favourite. A problem I have found with concealer is finding the right shade, but with 50 shades on offer, Revolution makes it easy to find one that suits. I personally opt for the shade C1 which I find to be a perfect match. I have pale skin and find this shade to work really well with my skin tone. What it is: A long-lasting liquid concealer that provides crease-resistant full coverage with a satin finish.

I like a full coverage and this concealer does just that. It covers dark circles effortlessly and is ideal for brightening up your undereye. It also works well for covering up any spots or blemishes. The built in sponge means you can apply and blend the product without having to use any other sponge or brush - this makes it perfect for on the go. You twist the top to get the concealer out which is really useful as it means you only use as much or as little as you need. It wasn’t heavily scented. All in all a very nice, effective product worthy of its 5 stars! Works as good as my Estée Lauder at a fraction of the price!! 10/10!" For concealers, the idea is that you want to go a little bit lighter than your skin tone because you’re covering a darker area,” explains Dr. Lee. By taking this route, your final look will appear more even toned. “However, if you’ve got a really red pimple, you can start with a green camouflage concealer,” she says, which will neutralize the redness before you apply the rest of your makeup. My only complaint was the colour match was not quite correct. Bearing in mind I bought the light peach shade, designed for cool-toned skin, it did look a little orange on me and took some blending.

With that said, it’s important to note that the shades between the two lines do not match up. Above, you can see that I swatch the original 16 Hour Camo Concealer in Medium Peach (middle) next to the new Hydrating Camo Concealer in Medium Peach (right). There’s a pretty big difference! On the left, I have the Hydrating Camo Concealer in the shade Light Beige which ended up being a better match than the other two. Color-Correcting Concealer is used to neutralize specific skin tone issues like redness, dark under-eye circles, and dark spots. It comes in various shades including green, blue, peach, and yellow which all counteract a specific color concern. Another commented: "I just tried this concealer and l am very happy with it... This is easy to blend, the consistency is creamy and just right. Also it didn’t make the fine lines around my eyes look obvious as some concealers can make you look “caked up” instead of concealed but this also covered the dark rings under my eyes! Eyebags are always a big issue for me, and without them covered, I feel like a makeup look is never complete. This is something I have always struggled with as I have a dry, sensitive eye area. Many concealers flake and look patchy and I have long been on the hunt for a holy grail.

Will you be claiming the VAT back?

I often struggle to find a shade that actually matches my skin tone with most being far too pale and the limited range around my complexion often given an orange tinge to my look.

For those who have a very red or cystic pimple, use a neutralizing green concealer before a traditional one. Take a conservative amount of the green mixture and gently apply it to the pimple head only with a precision brush. The idea is not to create an opaque green pimple, but to reduce the intense redness. I contour my face most day to be honest just because I prefer this look for my quite round cheeks and face shape.I do feel like the e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer is a better fit for my personal makeup routine as I typically wear satin or demi-matte finish foundations, and this will blend in easier for a seamless appearance. It will also work much better when I want to skip foundation altogether and just use concealer, since the matte finish stands out more against bare skin. However, I would recommend the original matte formula for oily skin/areas or sweaty days. Have you tried either of the Camo Concealers? I did find it blended well and a small amount of product goes a long way. I wouldn’t say it’s highly pigmented, but it is buildable without being cakey to offer a more full-coverage look. I was pleased with the results, which offered a crease-free appearance under my eyes, making them look brighter and smoother. There are a lot of concealers out there with specific formulations for skin types, like dry or oily skin, or for getting the most out of your application, including those that are best for contouring , and it can get confusing. Below are a few guidelines to keep in mind during your search for the best concealer for acne. For application, I popped some eye cream under my eyes (not a compulsory step, unless you have dry under eyes like me) and swiped two small dots on my skin. I dabbed it in with my favourite Real Techniques Beauty Blender. When it comes to concealing pimples, it’s a precision game,” says Dr. Lee. You can always use your fingertips or a Beautyblender, but the best tool to use is a tiny lip or eyeliner brush to “dab around the edge of the pimple and feather outwards to blend, so you’re not creating that “bullseye” look,” she says.

As well as concealing my dark circles, it also did a good job at covering my blemishes, as I typically get hormonal breakouts on my chin area. If needed, add a tiny bit more concealer on the underside of the pimple to minimize the appearance of a dark shadow. After foundation is applied, take “a tiny — and clean — lip or eyeliner brush and dab concealer around the inside perimeter of the pimple,” she instructs. One review said: “I’ve tried concealers by Nars, TooFaced, Tarte etc. This one is by far my fave. Amazing coverage but doesn’t crease or make my under eyes look dried out.” The formula was rich and creamy, giving my under eyes full coverage without looking or feeling like there was anything there. I could not believe how seamless my under eye area looked.Be very careful to avoid really heavy products. You should try to find both a concealer and a foundation that’s formulated to not clog pores, “especially if you have a pretty oily complexion,” says Dr. Lee, who adds that heavy cream-based or petroleum-based products can easily promote more breakouts. Most importantly, occlusion is often one of the first steps in the development of a pimple, so preventing it from happening in the first place is key. To heal breakouts fast, Dr. Lee’s top recommendation is to use spot treatment, like her BP Spot Treatment , especially at night, to keep them from spreading or scarring. It’s also important to integrate other pimple-busting products into your routine, including one of the best face masks for acne-prone skin , and even a pillowcase for acne to reduce zits and future breakouts. And for those with recurring pimples, there are plenty of solid skin care products for hormonal acne to get it under control.
