My true star rating is 4.6 stars as I find that this tablet, for the most part, has exceeded my expectations. I did take a small amount of the stars off because sometimes the temperature rises a bit when I install several apps, play games, etc. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is a 10.1-inch Android-based tablet computer produced and marketed by Samsung Electronics. but that is a minor annoyance. I have added apps from google play and they work fine, even old ones that are themselves outdated apparently. So I assume in its previous life it did have a cell phone circuit and was on ATT somehow. That part is irrelevant; I used the local apps and frequently connect it to wi-fi signals at home and lots of other places. never had a problem with it. EXTERNAL SLOT FOR MICRO SD CARD up to 64GB This is a must for me as I keep my personal files, photos, and music on my internal SD card. Note that this was one of the deciding factors that sold me on this tablet. I installed a SanDisk 32GB SD card and it works great on this tablet. Screen Resolution/Weight/Size etc - The first thing I noticed is that this tablet has 149 PPI-Pixels----however, what I discovered is that the screen is very, very clear and the colors are spectacular! The screen is absolutely beautiful! RESULT for me: It is that much clearer and vivid screen than I thought it would be with truly amazing clarity!

Since I have done a few tweaks on this tablet, now I have found that my battery life is better than the first and even the second day. In fact, the battery life now I find that when I use WiFi just when I need it, I now get about 7 to 8 hours with it(this reflects 100 percent brightness however). For years, I have owned Samsung Tablets and phones and love the quality and features. This is my favorite Samsung tablet yet! So far I have had a truly WOW experience using this tablet as it has exceeded my expectations! Below are the Pros and the Cons of this tablet...In late July, 2015, the tablet updated to Lollipop and it saves me battery, love this update. RAM (Random-Access Memory) is used by the operating system and all installed applications. Data in the RAM is lost after the device is turned off or restarted.The color depth of the display is also known as bit depth. It shows the number of bits used for the color components of one pixel. Information about the maximum number of colors the screen can display. Clarity of the screen for reading - It is very easy to read Kindle books and eBooks on this tablet. And I place the tablet inside my case/stand and read in landscape, it is very easy to read on it this way. The tablet just sits in my lap for easy reading.
