About this deal

Organic fertilisers: These are derived from plant or animal sources and contain plant nutrients in organic form. Organic products tend to be slower acting, as large organic molecules have to be broken down by soil organisms before the nutrients within them are released for plant use. Examples of organic fertilisers include: seaweed, hoof & horn, dried blood, fish blood & bone, bone meal, poultry manure pellets and liquid comfrey or nettle feeds. Other widely available products include Miracle-GroPerformance Organics All Purpose Concentrated Liquid Plant Food andLevingtonTomorite Organic Concentrate.

Formulated to be compatible with most common pesticides and fungicides - especially suited for aircraft applications.

Peat-free compost or all-purpose compost?

This is where balanced fertilizers that are added as a granular feed around the plant to supply the necessary nutrients, which can feed the plant up to 6 weeks. This dry material that is applied to the compost gradually dissolves and is uptaken by the plants. THERE ARE TWO COMMON GRANULAR FEEDS For multi-purpose composts, look for a relatively even NPK ratio . This refers to the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the mix, all of which are nutrients required for plant health. The main difference is that fish, blood and bone is organically made out of natural waste products, whilst growmore is made out of inorganic compounds mixed together. That is the main difference, where fish, blood and bones are used for those who want to garden using organic principles, whilst growmore is for those who do not mind using synthetic, man-made products. New compost looks good enough to eat There are many ways to apply fertilisers, and the method you choose will greatly depend on the product you are using. Here are some of the most common methods of application, along with examples of when you would use this method.

Fish meal is the leftover and unwanted products from the fishing industry, as more waste is produced than actually fish eaten. The unwanted fish, fish bones and fish trimmings are dried, pressed and grounded into the final product. Fishbones are a great fertilizer Compost can often be used at many different intervals along the life of your plant, from encouraging seeds to germinate, to aiding with repotting plants, or persuading plants to flower. For reference, the 50 L bag contains enough compost to fill four large patio pots and three hanging baskets. There are two main types of fertilisers: inorganic (man-made) and organic (derived from plant or animal). Apply every 4-6 weeks throughout the growing season from February until the end of October. Use as a top dressing (sprinkled on the soil surface) or as a base dressing (worked into the soil with a spade or hoe). During dry weather water before and after application. How to UseSuitable to use for up to six weeks, this compost retains water well and doesn’t get too compacted. It contains a combination of recycled materials to help with aeration, although it seems that the quality of these materials can vary. There may be wood, stones, and ceramic included, amongst other materials. Each batch that is made will be different and will depend on the manufacturers’ specifications, but ballpark figures can be used. Containing smart release granules, this compost will only work when the growing conditions are optimal, e.g., warm and moist. This allows for the most efficient absorption of minerals, and can feed plants for an entire season – up to six months at a time.
