About this deal

After it is run, VerticalMouse will not wake the computer when it is moved, until the next time it is plugged in again or the driver is updated.

The shortcut on the top row are supported by Windows. They may not work in other operating systems. To greatly reduce or eliminate RFI, make sure the mouse's wireless receiver is not directly in line between the computer and wireless router. If there is a cordless phone near the computer, move the cordless phone's base several feet or more away from the computer. Mouse batteries need replaced or charged

Compatibility PC• Includes driver for Windows XP, 7, 8, 10 and 11 (32 bit and 64 bit) for programming 5 buttons. The driver is optional. VMC still has basic functionality without the driver. If you often unintentionally press a button, you may disable the button. Please install the driver and select the Disabled function for the button. Pointer Movement Is Erratic Or The Pointer Jumps To The Screen Edge VerticalMouse 4 Right Mac and Bluetooth models do not have receivers. They connect to Mac computers via the computers’ built-in Bluetooth function. Rapidly Blinking Lights Nevertheless, a vertical mouse will be the best ergonomic mouse option for most users. It mitigates the musculoskeletal issues caused by overuse of a standard mouse while retaining most of the experience of using one. For gamers and creative pros who may not be able to use one all the time, the answer may be having two mice—a vertical model for everyday use, and a curved, palm-supporting conventional mouse for occasional precision work. Earlier models have an illuminated logo that cannot be turned off. Later models may be turned off this way:

The lights blink rapidly when the battery is low. Replace the battery. Resetting Wireless Receiver Or Pairing New Receiver Wired and wireless USB models are compatible with Mac computers as well as Windows, Linux and Unix computers. The battery may be running low. Replace the battery if the pointer speed lights are blinking rapidly whenever the mouse is moved. The downside to a vertical mouse can be its degree of accuracy. The shape moves your hand higher up the body and further away from the mouse sensor, changing the correlation between how you move your hand and the path of the cursor. Even after spending weeks with a vertical mouse, it can take an extra adjustment to line up the pointer with a small icon. That may go away over time, but it's a significant change that you should be ready for if you want to go down this road. It features an ergonomic design that supports your hand in a fully upright neutral 'handshake' position that eliminates forearm twisting. Not only does this position feel natural and effortless, this means the wrist bends less from side to side and the lower arm rotates less, it reduces your risk of aches, pains and injuries so you can be productive at your computer for longer.

The pen-style grip still is a source of ergonomic concern, however. Curling your fingers around a pen mouse for many hours per day over a period of years seems like a recipe for a specific form of repetitive strain injury. That said, holding a pen requires much less grip strength than using a mouse, so this may only be a concern for people with painful wrists or fingers. Compatibility Microsoft Windows® 7 or later• Includes driver for Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 for configuring the buttons. The driver is optional but highly recommended. VerticalMouse still has basic functionality without the driver. Before connecting Evoluent VerticalMouse, go to the Applications folder to find and remove any existing Evoluent Mouse Manager and any other mouse software, except touchpad drivers, to avoid software conflict.

The Evoluent vertical mouse (or a previous generation of it) is one of the very few ergonomic mice that I’ve actually used, day-to-day, for more than a week or so. Unfortunately, that period of “more than a week” was before my previous review, and thus is currently about six years in the past. During that time, I recall the previous-generation Evoluent being quite handy and nice to use, largely due to its well-designed and stable driver (on which more in a moment). An easily accessible switch on the side of the mouse for changing pointer speed or sensitivity. Pointer Speed Lights: Comfortable and easy to use - The shape is thoughtfully sculpted for uncompromising comfort and easy-to-reach programmable buttons. No finger contortions are needed to operate the buttons.
