About this deal

Coat D'Arms match the OLD citadel colours (pre-1992) so there might be some difference. Shining gold has the most noticeable difference,

Khaki Armor: VMC Khaki. Wash of Nuln Oil and rehighlight with Khaki. Final highlight of Khaki mixed with VMC Pale Sand http://www.ttfxmedia.com/vallejo/cgi-bin/_modelis_info.asp?p1=ing&p2=modelcolor&p3=1#modelcolorinfo Orks: Mournfang Brown is a great choice for painting Ork armor and machinery, as it provides a solid base coat for the various greens and blues that are used to paint Ork skin and clothing. The brown color also works well for painting the rusty, battle-worn appearance of Ork guns and tanks.Color Space Conversions Decimal 6555913 Binary 01100100, 00001001, 00001001 Hexadecimal #640909 LRV ≈ 2.9% Closest short hex #600 ΔE = 1.477 RGB rgb(100, 9, 9) RGBA rgba(100, 9, 9, 1.0) rg chromaticity r: 0.847, g: 0.076, b: 0.076 RYB red: 39.216%, yellow: 3.529%, blue: 3.529% Android / android.graphics.Color -10221303 / 0xff640909 HSL hsl(0, 83%, 21%) HSLA hsla(0, 83%, 21%, 1.0) HSV / HSB hue: 0° (0.000), saturation: 91% (0.910), value: 39% (0.392) HSP hue: 360.000, saturation: 91.000%, perceived brightness: 21.646% HSL uv (HUSL) H: 12.174, S: 89.687, L: 19.742 Cubehelix H: -8.190, S: 1.196, L: 0.142 TSL T: 3.946, S: 0.771, L: 0.142 CMYK cyan: 0% (0.000), magenta: 91% (0.910), yellow: 91% (0.910), key: 61% (0.608) CMY cyan: 61% (0.608), magenta: 96% (0.965), yellow: 96% (0.965) XYZ X: 5.403, Y: 2.925, Z: 0.539 xyY x: 0.609, y: 0.330, Y: 2.925 CIELab L: 19.742, a: 38.192, b: 26.335 CIELuv L: 19.742, u: 58.204, v: 12.557 CIELCH / LCHab L: 19.742, C: 46.392, H: 34.588 CIELUV / LCHuv L: 19.742, C: 59.543, H: 12.174 Hunter-Lab L: 17.104, a: 26.459, b: 10.106 CIECAM02 J: 15.689, C: 56.150, h: 28.733, Q: 78.037, M: 49.103, s: 79.323, H: 10.931 OSA-UCS lightness: -9.735, jaune: 3.291, green: -7.331 LMS L: 5.129, M: 1.167, S: 0.586 YCbCr Y: 47.118, Cb: 114.532, Cr: 167.949 YCoCg Y: 31.750, Cg: -22.750, Co: 47.750 YDbDr Y: 36.209, Db: -40.950, Dr: -121.303 YPbPr Y: 28.383, Pb: -10.465, Pr: 45.500 xvYCC Y: 40.376, Cb: 118.807, Cr: 167.969 YIQ Y: 36.209, I: 54.210, Q: 19.242 YUV Y: 36.209, U: -13.389, V: 55.965 Okhsl h: 27.676, s: 0.959, l: 0.223 Okhsv h: 27.676. s: 0.950, v: 0.391 Okhwb h: 27.676, w: 0.020, b: 0.609 Oklab l: 0.323, a: 0.109, b: 0.057 Oklch l: 0.323, c: 0.123, h: 27.676 Munsell Color System 7.5R 2/8 ΔE = 6.086 Brand Color Readability ΔE = 13.852 Random Colors http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/media/e588d28183cec31ffd6dcee6d3718fc3.cms/equivalencias-rev05.pdf Like most things that have gone rusty, there’s a good chance that whatever it is you’re painting will have once upon a time sported a colour that wasn’t just rusty orange-brown. These all look absolutely incredible, and we’re so grateful to @gobble_inz for sharing their wisdom with us and getting us using this paint. Painting Rust – The FauxHammer Method

Typhus Corrosion is designed to be used as a rust effect itself, and is commonly used by painters to add rust-like weathering to models . If you want a more extreme texture, you could always try using something like Agrellan Earth or Agrellan Badland Step 4 – Brown This paint’s pigments provide good coverage, making it an excellent choice for beginners wishing to create a solid foundation for their miniature painting.

Once the Mournfang Brown is dry, cover the areas of the miniature you wish to appear rusty with Dirty down’s Rust Water Soluble paint. P3 Paints did not really match very closely with the old GW range, but a detailed explanation of each paint can be found here: http://www.brushthralls.com/pre-painting-prep/color-theory-10p3.html Choosing the proper colours to use together is a key component of making a cohesive and visually pleasing miniature. Bellow, you can find some other Citadel Colour paints that could be used in conjunction with Mournfang Brown to produce fascinating and dynamic color combinations: Mephiston Red: This intense red color can be used as a complement to Mournfang Brown to create a powerful and startling contrast. The Mournfang Brown and Mephiston Red could be used combined to create a sense of danger or hostility, with the Mournfang Brown suggesting heavy machinery or armor and the Mephiston Red indicating flames or warning signs. Let’s take a look at each paint, including this handy reference chart with similar existing Citadel Colours, all hand-painted over grey primed plasticard and photographed under a neutral 5500K light source:

This might seem counter-productive, as you’ve just covered up all the areas you’ve just painted with weathering effect, but read on… Step 8 – Remove Colour (and Probably a Fair Bit of Weathering Product)In the vast and varied Warhammer 40K universe, there are many factions and armies to choose from, each with their own unique aesthetics and themes. Here are three armies that could benefit from the use of Mournfang Brown in their miniature painting schemes: Kabalite Green: This dark forest green could be used as a split-complementary color to Mournfang Brown, creating a harmonic and subtle contrast. The two hues could be combined to create a sense of concealment or stealth, with Mournfang Brown supporting the metal or armor and Kabalite Green signifying surrounding flora. Cover the model in AK Worn Effects Acrylic Fluid. We used an airbrush for this, but you can use a regular brush too. Step 7 – Add Colour

I’ve had a slightly hard time finding a good werewolf model that I found creepy and humanoid enough, but discovered that the Professor Lupin model from the Knight Games Harry Potter Miniatures game works perfectly. Mournfang Brown – Air Paint is a base coat paint from Citadel Colour, specifically designed for miniature painting. Its pigments are of high quality, and it is an acrylic paint that dries to a matt finish. It is a versatile foundation color with excellent coverage, perfect for beginners looking to expand their palette of colours for miniatures. It can be used as a base coat for a variety of different miniature painting projects and it is a great addition to any miniature painter’s collection. What armies to paint with Mournfang Brown – Air Paint

Unleash the Beast Within

This is very important this time around, as we’ll be using a thinner mixture of Dirty Down’s rust, so we’ll need that brown base coat. Step 3 – Shake it Off Up
