The head itself can rotate, move up and down vertically, and the jaw can open and close. The orange eyes, large white fangs, and long red tongue are particularly effective, and I think the colour choice was a good one. I have previously mentioned that more minifigures and a boat of some sort (a small one would be fine) would have helped, although that may or may not be the issue. The completed model is just brilliant to look at with really eye-catching composition, colours and realistic Norse architecture tying everything together.

(Wikipedia) In some respects, I would have preferred them to wear the more authentic helmet created for the Viking Collectable Minifigure, but these pearl dark grey helmets are certainly eye-catching and work in reference to the Vikings theme from 2005. The chieftain is armed with a longsword and an attractive circular shield, while the archer fittingly carries a bow.

This technique where plates and tiles are layered vertically is such a simple but attractive architectural technique.

The Longhall at the Midgard Vikings Center in Borre Norway bores resemblance to the Longhall in this set (photo: wikimedia CC 4.0). The way the Vikings stored their shields on the sides of their ships while travelling is an iconic image, and the set doesn't disappoint. There are four shields attached to either side, each with a different pattern, presumably unique to the Viking that wields it. They can easily be detached and held in the hand of one of the minifigures, although there are twice as many shields as figures included.I agree, some smallish to medium Classic/Viking/Pirate set would be welcome, 31111 : Cyber Drone showed that a small set can have a cool figure and build too. Torso isn't unique but the face print was new for 2021, and was only recently re-used in 80036 City of Lanterns Who is this set for?An homage to the LEGO Viking theme, and fans wanting a classic Castle-esque and familiar build experience which won’t break the bank.
