This is the debut of the improved version of Steve's hair from Hide and Seek, but this time, his bangs were added again. In the remake, Mrs. Pepper and Mr. Salt called Josh to see the sun going down, but in the original, Mrs. Pepper and Mr. Salt didn't call Steve. There was no wrong answer in this episode, likely due to no possible wrong answers (as the clues are very obvious).

However, the left light (the one in the window where Blue normally appears to wave bye-bye to the viewer) had its light turned off when it zoomed out of the house, so Joe may have turned that light off and then waved bye-bye to the viewer and went to sleep in his actual bed in his bedroom after the episode ended. In the original, Steve did yawn and the bat asked if he was tired. In the remake, Josh never yawned. Alexander Claffy, the voice of Purple Kangaroo, and Danielle Gonzalez, relative of Animator Dayna Gonzalez are both friends of Steve in this episode. This is the second episode in the series to have rare bonus scenes that are hardly seen, the first was Blue's Birthday, where the bonus scenes are shown in the VHS version.

The Talking Clues are absent in this episode, despite Polka Dots appearing in this episode, so Joe draws the clues in his notebook instead. It was only the moon who appeared in the credits while in the remake, many characters, including Blue, appeared. The fourth (third if you don't count the three-episode Season 4 finale) was the Season 5 episode special 100th Episode Celebration. The usual Blue's Clues instrumentals are replaced with a different kind of music to go along with the quiet version of the Blue's Clues song. In the remake, when the viewer shouts "A clue!" on the first one, Josh thought they said "You". But in the original Steve mistaken "A Clue" for "Who?" and introduces the viewers to Horace, his stuffed animal.

In the credits, none of the usual characters are present. Instead, there were one-time only animations.

In that same story, in the original, the sun had a line before the moon and stars. In the remake, only the moon and stars talked to Bird. The bathroom scene was absent from the original episode. In the U.K. version, the moon appears a fifth time with her first quote, due to part of the music being used again. As usual, the U.K. doesn’t like to use the unusual short credit lengths. In the original, when Steve was following the light coming from the lamp used as the 2nd clue, Shovel and Pail stayed with the bat. In the remake, Shovel and Pail left before Josh did. Additionally, it wasn't until Josh asked how there was day and night when the earth's eyes and mouth appeared. In the original, the earth had them the whole time.This is the first episode in the reboot to take place at night and this is also the first time the theme song had a variant. The variant is that when the song is halfway through, the sky turns from sky blue to sunset purple. There were 2 bonus scenes that features special guest star: Julia Louis-Dreyfus that only appears exclusively in the opening and post-credits scenes in the original airing. This episode does not end with the reversed scene of the door closing and Blue waving goodbye to the viewer in the left window, Steve quietly sings The So Long Song in his bedroom instead of the living room, and Blue does not join in, or show up at the window to wave goodbye to the viewer in one of the windows because she is sleeping in her bed, and it ends when Steve turns off the light.
