About this deal

This is one of a batch of 10 albums or so that are the absolute best examples of heavy metal and what the genre has offered since Sabbath put the line in the sand. Rust in Peace is the fourth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, released on September 24, 1990, by Capitol Records. s Album of the Year, and is listed as one of the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, Metal Hammer's 50 Hottest Thrash Albums Of All Time and Revolver Magazine's The 69 Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time. EX (Excellent): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality.

even without the lyrics, this band's instrumental attack is so ferocious these songs would sound like the end of the world anyway. First the actual recording, Megadeth are not one of my top bands, but having heard this previously on someone else's system I thought this sounds well. I'm not going to get bogged down in saying it's thrash, or speed metal or blah blah, or even get into a debate about where it sits in the whole metal family tree. An incredible thrash metal album showcasing a high level of technical musicianship and strong songwriting.Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. At the 1991 Foundations Forum, the album received a Concrete Foundations Award for "Top Radio Album" and the single "Hangar 18" won the "Top Radio Cut" award.

The track’s simplicity and easygoing atmosphere make it an enjoyable addition to the indie music scene. Since its release, Rust in Peace has often been named as one of the best thrash metal records of all time, by publications such as Decibel and Kerrang!

The album was certified platinum in 1994 and received Grammy nominations in 1990 and 1991 for Best Metal Performance. With tracks like Hangar 18, Tournado of Souls, Five Magics, Take no Prisoners and the phenomenal opener Holy Wars you imagine the mosh pit when the band toured live back in 1991 as part of the Clash of the Titans tour, Megadeth really raised the bar here, and 25 years later, not much has been released since that compares, both by themselves or by their peers. It was also the first Megadeth album to feature guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza, a lineup that would remain in place for nearly a decade.
