Jamie is always doing things for people and being strong for those he loves, he never asks for help. He invites her to stay at his residence so that she could assist him with tasks since so much of his time preparing and training for the upcoming hockey season. it’s just beautiful to see how the grump starts to shed their closed-off exterior when the sunshine enters their life.

the setting was fun, hockey and forest walks etc, loved the little community of his hockey team and her sister tooo. Over time they learn much more about each other until they each finally reveal that they remembered each other and had crushes. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Stephanie Archer is a master of creating a balance of pining, passion and This is a forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine romance that is absolutely delectable. The miscommunication, or lack of communication, is a little bit frustrating as it's dragged out for a couple hundred pages, BUT that means there's a lot of a slow-burn romance and angst. FYI, the “[redacted]” example I mentioned in the intro to this review applies to this book in particular, and just . They used to go to highschool together 8 years ago, her two years younger than him, a music nerd-band kid, him a popular hockey kid! Loved the steamy scenes in this book especially when he was trying to help her…you know what ☺️ for the first time. plus i also want to give myself a break and not force reviews on books where i actually don’t have that much to say, because those reviews don't make me happy and most of it is just words and i'm just trying to fill out the review, but you’ll no longer be seeing me do that.A third is to come, but for now I’ll share my thoughts on whether or not this series is worth skating into.

And also sincerely, I’m tired of female characters who don’t have good sex lives before meeting the H. I’m sure it will absolutely shock you to hear that, after their personalities are done clashing, the sexual tension starts flooding in. I really could not get enough of Pippa and Jamie, this book quickly became one of my favourites and I can’t wait to read the next book, which I gratefully received as an ARC. I have to warn people though that this book is heavy on the insta-love and is quite cliche at times!Behind the Net is a hockey romance novel set in Vancouver, Canada and features main characters Pippa and Jamie. on day one, you knock on his door only for it to be the hockey god you crushed on in high school who seemingly has no idea who you are and is not happy you're here. i honestly think it’s time for me to get back into my hockey romance era, because i’ve missed these vibes so much.
