The Brother HL-L3230CDW is capable of printing onto label media providing the media is fully compatible with laser printing and does not exceed a maximum paper weight of 163gsm. Thereafter, it was fast and far less troublesome than either of the two network-capable printers previously used which have never allowed a network connection despite repeated attempts.
Based upon other Brother printers used, it was thought that a sample page may have followed switch-on but that did not happen. I removed the printer from Windows and reinstalled it with the correct IP address using TCP/IP connection. Overall: it’s early days, and it’s not been used a lot yet, however happy with my purchase and would recommend. The app was easy to install on both, and with this in place the printer could be identified immediately. The plastic it’s made from is matt and for the most part fairly pale in colour, although around the output, flatbed, and controls, there’s a darker contrasting grey. No messing about unless you want something awkward, in which case the manual is voluminous and online - I downloaded it as a PDF and have it ready in the computer.A standout feature is the printer's ability to perform firmware updates directly from the touchscreen display. The overall effect is not as dark and bold as some other printers, but a light touch like this is nearly always preferable.
