The hot water dispenser will provide you with instantly hot water, great for black coffees, while the 6 cup warming tray will make sure a cold cup doesn’t detract from your enjoyment. What it means is that the Sage machines have stable brew temperatures, at least at the source of the hot water, the Thermocoil. Having said that, they're probably the best cheaper alternatives to the Barista Express that I've tried.

I’m not sure if Kev is still the best barista in 2022, but he was definitely one of the best in 2018. Fill the tank with cold water up to the MAX mark (2 liters) and repeat steps 1 and 2 to rinse any traces of descaling solution from the machine.This is why I'm such a fan of Sage coffee machines in general because they're all about getting the best possible results from freshly roasted coffee beans. Be hands on like a barista with manual microfoam milk texturing to deliver authentic results in no time at all. I don't mind pressure gauges, but I can take them or leave them, and I can't really do without a shot timer. The milk steamer textures the milk to a velvety mouthfeel creating silky microfoam capable of poring latte art. Whether or not any tank-fed machine can actually feature “true” pre-infusion is a matter for debate among much cleverer people than me, (I'm not even a proper Barista I just play one on YouTube) but pre-infusion would usually be done at line pressure from a plumbed in machine before the pump is then engaged, and tank machines don't have line pressure so it always pumps pressure, but, Sage machines are set to in some way mimic line pressure by limiting the pump pressure initially and then ramping up to full pressure.
