The supermarket has rolled out their bespoke 'Hotel Collection' which includes candles, reed diffusers and perfumes. Sultry sensations arouse your senses with an aroma that transports you to a romantic scene in a boutique Parisian hotel. The colour of the label and font was pretty much identical to the Jo Malone brand, with just a few small differences that were barely noticeable. I recently ran out of the Gucci Bloom perfume I got for Christmas and I have been on the lookout for a replacement. Featuring top notes of poppy and barley, the vibrant scent is perfect for spritzing on sunny spring days.

Enter the Lacura Hotel Collection Pure Noir Perfume, which is by all accounts a dupe for Tom Ford's iconic Black Orchid Eau de Parfum. Unfortunately, on this occasion, I didn't find anything I liked, until I had a look at the hair and beauty section on the normal shelves.

Warm, earthy cedar welcomes your senses as they are greeted by luscious vanilla for a well-rounded aroma. Masculine and fresh, it is infused with an exquisite combination of Tuscan leather, lush sandalwood and iris. The designer colognes have long been known for their unique scent combinations that are unlike any other - that is, until Aldi brought out its own range of strikingly-similar fragrances. And in October, dropped the Lacura Cardinal Red perfume – which was almost identical to Baccarat Rouge 540. Aldi have done a good job in trying to replicate the smell though, and I think if you haven't worn the Jo Malone version before, you'd be impressed with the dupe.

With promises to ooze confidence, this Eau de Parfum is perfect for anyone that loves a masculine scent. A truly cleansing and revitalizing scent, serene white tea and healing aloe vera combine to create an uplifting aroma with a naturally pleasant undertone.In the past Aldi has released everything from NARS makeup dupes to Olaplex hair replicas, and dropped some seriously impressive fragrances, too. Naturally, nothing is perfect, and I did spot a few things that didn't quite live up to the Jo Malone quality. The first thing I noticed was the smell as soon as I took the lid off before I'd even sprayed the product. More recently, Aldi have amassed a loyal and avid following of beauty obsessives, all intent on trying out the brand's relentless outpouring of perfume, make-up and skincare dupes.
