The outdoor spaces are simply outstanding. There is a range of different gardens, all different and unique, with some amazing plants and flowers within them. There is also the Children’s Garden which spans the area of 40 tennis courts. We sent a large number of resources to the scene, including eight ambulance crews, three incident response officers, two advanced paramedics, two emergency planning officers, a command support team and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). London Underground will run as normal; however, some stations will be busier than usual, and some short-term safety measures such as queuing, closures, non-stopping trains or changes to the way customers enter or exit a station may be necessary. A walk through the park reveals several exciting attractions. These include the Albert Memorial, the Serpentine Gallery, and the Italy Garden, with its historic water basins, fountains, and sculptures. Families with children should also visit the Diana Memorial Playground, where a large wooden ship invites them to play. Kew Gardens is home to the most miniature royal palace, which was resided in from the early 18th century. In addition, there’s an 18th-century pagoda and a Treetop walkway; climbing to the top of these is a great chance to look out over the vast expense of greenery.
