This machine is sophisticated and simple to use, it can be plumbed into the mains if required but does not require mains water if not available so the machine can be setup anywhere, no technician or training is needed. Older Design - Generaly the X9 compared to the X7 is a much more advanced machine, from the grinders to the technical design, its looks build and everything have been updated, if budget allows we would recommend the X9 over the X7 but at the same time the base coffee produced will be very similar and of a high quality from both models.

Ceramic grinders would have been better, because stainless steel heats up when used, which can burn your grounds and completely ruin the flavor of whatever drink you’re making. The machine’s grinder might be grinding the coffee beans too fine, so adjust the grinder to a coarser setting. Vacuum out the grinder before adjusting to a coarser grind to remove any leftover grounds that could cause problems. Only adjust the grinder coarseness when the grinder is activated.

Note: Your IMPRESSA J5 will display READY again if no other programme item is selected in the maintenance menu within about 5 seconds. The Impressa X7 offers three different integrated cleaning programs: a coffee sector cleaning, auto cappuccino cleaning and combined cleaning programs. Also de-scaling programs. If the coffee is dispensing slowly or unevenly, or if coffee is leaking behind the spout, there are several possible solutions. Note: The water may be slightly discoloured during rinsing of the filter. This is not harmful to health. The display shows either COFFEE READY/ DECALCIFY or DECALCIFY NOW. Open the cover of the programming keys and press the Decalcify key. Please follow the instructions in the display.
