In logging their experiences, the student should note either in their case description or reflective comments the name of the witness(es) used.

Don’t forget a case reference number as there must be a means of auditing your experience to prove it actually happened.We have recently made a number of improvements to our Nursing Progress Log (NPL), an optional online assessment tool for student veterinary nurses.

Myerscough has excellent teaching, practical and clinical resources and have excellent links with specialist veterinary guest speakers, experts in their fields, who are invited to deliver lectures for the students throughout various modules. This provides the students with real-world examples of veterinary case management and often helps guide their future career choices and decisions regarding potentially specialising in practice. Accommodation on campus is available for students and further information about this can be obtained via the Accommodations Team at Myerscough College. The student does not need to log anymore experiences for disposing of anatomical waste. Focus should be on disposing of a variety of other different types of waste, not yet covered. Bachelor’s trained nurses work in nursing specialties throughout the hospital setting. For example, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, labor & delivery, emergency room, and ICU, to name a few.Our commercial canine and equine therapy centres, as well as our commercial farm, also offer opportunities for students to gain voluntary industry experience ready for their careers. Volunteering You might be able to get additional student financial support through the NHS Learning Support Fund.
